Yesterday I had the sweetest time teaching an embroidery class at the clinic in Richmond Hill! 🧵💛 We spent the evening stitching, chatting, popping bubbly and creating beautiful pieces together — it was such a relaxing and creative escape. In the midst of late nights, early mornings, and the whirlwind of new motherhood with my first, I found myself battling something I never expected—postpartum anxiety. I was overwhelmed, restless, and constantly in my own head. I didn’t want to up the dose of medicine, I wanted to find myself.

One night, I picked up a needle and thread, and just… started. No grand plan, just a quiet moment to make something with my hands. That simple act turned into a life-changing creative outlet.

As someone who spends the day immersed in project plans, conference calls, and constant problem-solving, hand embroidery became my way to slow down. It’s quiet, tactile, meditative—and completely different from the fast-paced, analytical world I work in.

Now, I end almost every day with a needle in hand. It’s not just a hobby; it’s therapy. It’s joy. It’s peace.
